I've been in the trees before
their arms a pallid amber sickness

from across the valley
they seem like one mass

I'm not easily fooled though
I've been in their arms before

here the dirt tastes
just like a cow bell

I tasted it on a dare
once

it tastes like blood
but it isn't

it's either dirt
or a cow's bell
